Well, this entry was going to be about Lost in Translation but now, after confirmation from the BBC website, it's going to abe a rant.

CBS are stupid. Enormously so. Firing Jorja Fox is the biggest mistake in the world and if Eads has gone too, then the show is screwed. Don't mess with the demographic. Unlike Mothership, CSI is built on its characters and Sara Sidle is immensely popular. This is a mess and I'm furious.

I don't no about laughter - there are a few hyseterical tears on this end though. I'm in complete denial about the whole thing - it just can't be happening.

I think it was carolinecrane who had a theory that this entire thing is just "a slap on the wrist" for George and Jorja and that they're going to be written back in after a few episodes. I don't know - I wouldn't get too optimistic about it.

It's a wishful theory, I think, if only because so many sources are confirming it so rapidly. It's also my understanding that they guy who was calling the shots, as it were, doesn't like compromising with sideliners.

There are all kinds of different rumours flying around but basically they were asking for a raise (in mid-contract, but I'm not sure if that makes a difference). As for what else happened... Some say that when they were refused the raise, George didn't come to work the next day and Jorja didn't respond to some letter, some say that George did come to work but he came late, and yada-yada-yada. It really doesn't make any sense to me at this point. We'll just have to wait for the official press release to find out what's going on.

there was this whole thing about money - they wre trying to increase their wage. then they were asked to respond to a letter to say whether or not they'd be in on Thursday. Eads was late in that day and apparently, Fox didn't send her reply in on time (wtf?!) It's a sham. WP and MH called in sick too.
