{ "There is no more rope!" }
Oct. 23rd, 2010 10:57 amOf course, the day that I am going to a family function - cousin's borthday party; is going to be amazing - my skin decides NO I HATE YOU I HATE YOU DIE OF SHAME DIIIIIIIIIE, and feels like it's been rubbed raw with sandpaper. Eczema is one of those things where no-on really knows the triggers, but everyone who has it has things that can make it worse. I was a bit stressed yesterday, and the weather has been biting of late, so those two factors together have resulted in a bit of an outbreak. It's not so bad as when I first had recurrences a couple years ago, but I am a bit blotchy. Ugh.
However, am most definitely looking forward to shenanigans this afternoon/evening. In a couple of hours I will need to straighten my hair, iron my dress, and basically get ready, and then we'll set off for Colchester. This is the dress I am going to be wearing, and I have these...swirly (?) earrings to go with it. I was going to buy glittery tights but then I apparently forgot.

Going to miss Merlin, of course. Next weekend I'm in Lancaster, but I'll watch with The Sister. The weekend after that may or may not be Diwali? This is the downside to Merlin airing earlier this year; there are a lot of Saturday functions at this time of year! How frustrating, haha.

Speaking of Merlin, I now own the first two series. The boxsets are kind of gorgeous, the second season especially. As a remedy to my godawful moods, I have been watching the S2 commentaries. The cast are hilarious! Anthony Head is just the oddest creature - and a perfect fit for this cast of younguns. I wonder if that is how he has always been, or if Buffy prepped him for it.

Date: 2010-10-23 10:41 am (UTC)I do love Anthony Stewart Head. He was fantastic in Buffy, which I am in the progress of acquiring all of the DVD box sets of and (re)watching. After getting used to him as Giles it was a bit of a shock, but a good one, to see him in the School Reunion episode of Doctor Who where he played the evil principal. It did confirm he is a great actor, though!

Date: 2010-10-24 06:57 pm (UTC)MERLIN IS JOY. The Small Cousin loves the dragon best (he has a book about dragons) and I just flail happily around the main four and want to buy boxsets).
