belantana asked me about my 5 favourite things about fandom; my 5 favourite items of clothing/jewellery; 5 things that begin with 'M'; and 5 completely materialistic things I would change if I were Supereme Ruler of the Universe for a day. Needless to say, these took me a while, not least of all because two of the things I wanted to take pictures of only just came out the wash.

01. My most favourite thing about fandom is having met various people through one thing, and then realising that my like of them extends beyond the source. Fandom is filled with idiots but also with a lot of good people, and I've been lucky to find a fair few who put up with me. Go fandom!

02. I love reading reaction posts, especially when you get a wave of them after something like the Lost finale, or the Ashes to Ashes one, or the flurry of opinions that chase every single episode of Doctor Who. I very rarely agree with all of what's written, but I do like reading it all the same, even from people I don't know. Fandom Hive Brain is also incredibly rewarding. Who doesn't like clicking through their flist and realising that their people are in agreement with them?

03. Picspams are oddly pleasing things! Why is this? They're just pictures! But I love them. I also love it when someone posts one cap from something because they love it or it illuminates something or encapsulates their opinion. Plus, even after seeing hundreds of caps of Amy Pond, I am still not bored. More! More!

04. I truly enjoy being able to have 'ros myers shanking bitches with cutlery' as an interest.

05. I love fanfiction. I went through a phase of not reading all that much, but even during that time there was stuff being posted and/or rec'd by my flist, and Yuletide, and Femgen etc. and these days I spend my morning commute reading Merlin fanfiction. It is such a self-indulgent pursuit, and it is terribly, terribly pleasing.

Dislaimer: whilst I am more than able to point at something and identify it as attractive or not, I am not great at making myself presentable. A lot of the time this is because I am too lazy, or because I cannot justify spending money on clothes that could be saved or spent on other things. It's been years since I saw anything interesting on Threadless but this reprint came up on sale a while back and I snatched it up. It makes me laugh so much; plus, red is my colour.

One of my many, many, many pairs of flip-flops/champal. Wish I could wear these with my work trousers but the stones rip out my hems, heh.

01. I would make the weather warm with a light breeze all the time, and have it rain at scheduled intervals.

02. I would destroy every Renault Megane in existence in the whole world.

03. I would ghettoise homophobics.

04. I would make Fandom Shore House (tm daygloparker) a reality. In the British version we would live in a holiday cottage next to a field with a lake.

05. I'd force buses to run every 15 minutes, cap the fees, lower rail fares, and make it so that anyone who currently has a concession can ride for free. I would also make the earliest buses reach their final destination before 7am.

I should be this person because I bought a t-shirt last week. $3.62. They had tons of colors and it fits perfectly. But I only bought one. I wish I'd bought 1 of every color they had in my size. Now it's been 4 days and it was on clearance so they've probably got all Large and Extra-Large left.

H&M do these deals where you can buy 3 for a certain (affordable) price. During my teens I'd just wait for the sales and ransack the rails, haha.

I also really love your list of things beginning with M. Now I really want some microwave popcorn argh. And you have my number 1 vote for Supreme Ruler of Public Transport; those changes would improve many lives immensely.
