So, I locked down last night's post because there are ways of venting, and there are ways of venting, and being arrogant on the internet - albeit in the comfort of friendslock - is probably the least smart way of going about a thing. I am still cranky about goings on, but as they're actually RL issues and not internet issues, I've got other places I can bitch about them.

I just had to chase a wasp out of my room! It is a dull, muggy 6am; I am not prepared for this kind of malarkeying right now! I'm having the same issue I always have, which is that the wasps are burrowing through the brickwork in the bay window. It's not so bad - one a day? - but I am out of wasp spray, and in general it's just bloody annoying.

This morning I am deliberately going to take the second bus because I need to drop off my expense forms at the suboffice for my Line Manager to sign so she can bring them with her when she comes to our end tomorrow.

This is no scandal; I am not claiming for a moat. I am claiming 20% my public transport costs which is actually really annoying to explain to the Benefits Dept because, of course, I use one bus ticket across the county, but my bus journeys are separated by a train journey. Also, my season tickets swap out a week before the end of the claims period. I have attached a boatload of receipts, but fuck, I hope I don't have to actually calculate a daily amount because that is bullshit and I do not have that sort of time.

Later this week there's going to be another Services briefing where the Big Boss of our section of the LGA explains when we all lose our jobs, basically. Well, no, the briefing is a face-to-face update about an ongoing merger, but potential job loss is obviously the part anyone properly cares about.

Quasi-relatedly: why does the morning's commute seem shorter than the evening's one? I think the answer is that the evening's commute is longer because I have to wait a half hour for the bus home. Je suis frustrate.
