Oh, hey, new trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood. I am in favour of anything that has Cate Blanchett in period dress and/or threatening to cut off a man's balls.

It's terribly violent and involves archers and swordsmen and an over-acted ruckus. Count me in!

Leaving for work early today because my boss will be in, thereby cutting my work time in half whilst doubling the actual workload. Things I don't need right now: this. But my boss is terribly pleasant, and I had a lengthy conversation with one of the seniors yesterday about how they need to do their jobs when April rolls around or work is going to bottleneck. That was satisfying.

Oh hey, where are my socks?

I miss that time when I either wore bottlegreen tights or champal/flip flops all the time. IT WAS A SIMPLER LIFE GUYS.

I'm excited for Robin Hood. I've pretty much seen every film and tv version there is so I don't see this being any different.

I have loved every incarnation except, oddly, the BBC series that got shitcanned last year. I hated that?

BUT. This does look VERY GOOD. In a cut 'em up, eat your young sort of way.

I am all for anything that gives me an equally as badass Marian as Robin and this looks like it might be that.

It looks bad, but then again I thought Spartacus was bad and it is apparently really good...I don't trust my judgment anymore.

I never got around to actually watching Spartacus but I still hoped it would maintain its awfulness.

But Robin Hood! I don't give a crap about Meatface Crowe, but the ~melodrama~! I anticipate this being less horrific than that shitcan King Arthur from 2004 and yet still guilt-trippingly great.

Meatface Crowe! That is a nickname that is both appropriate and descriptive. Like, I can't take him seriously anymore after South Park's parody of him. Plus, he's so old and that takes me right out of his action films.
