This post has been derailed by an animated icon of Bradley James laughing his head off. I didn't think I would be so easily swayed, but...no, it's pretty enthralling.

Back at work today after a tres lovely trip to Chesterfield yesterday. There is still a buggerload to get done, but LL is away for the next two days which means I have (mostly) unfettered access to the scanner. I'm hoping to get a lot done tomorrow.

EBL confirmed that she starts her new job in April which means that's when I'm back on the train. Everyone knows my feelings on that, but I need to work out if I can afford the season ticket before I start up again. I think it will be doable, plus cheaper in the long run than renting close to C. That said, I have seen a couple of places close to work that might be worth looking in to. Need to work on that.

I left for work this morning thinking Carey Mulligan looked fucking cute at the Oscars. I came home thinking the same thing but realising that her dress was one of those weird half-length gowns. Which is a shame because she is fucking adorable.

The past few years I've had various memory issues - nothing serious, just forgetfulness that can't entirely be attributed to my usual dottiness. But most recently I keep making phone calls and immediately forgetting why. My attention span has been shot since uni, but this is a pretty poor performance on my brain's part. Currently it's amusing if not a little frustrating, but sooner or later I'm going to get annoyed.

I should remember to bookmark the fic I've read and enjoyed. I used to do that, but then I started reading Merlin fic and got embarrassed or something idk. But I should do that so that when I need to access something I can find it. That being the point of bookmarking, after all.

I am massively reluctant to catch up with fandom, to the extent that I am probably going to dump most of it. I have't managed to keep up with Big Love! I love Big Love! See also: NCIS and Fringe and L&O:UK. I'm trying to marathon things and I've been quasi-successful, but jeez, when did enjoyment become so difficult?

This stupid song. Why do I keep playing it? I am a sucker for drums.

The thought that you might be getting your own place excites me greatly, idk what that is. Maybe it's the prospect of having an excuse to go to Cambridge which I LOVE.

This season of Big Love was hit/miss for me. Nikki was all kinds of GREAT, but as ever the main story arc bored me to tears. I hate Bill sfm. It's only narrowly outbalanced by how much I love the wives + Sarah. That said: THE FINALE WAS SO GOOD. GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER. I was going to picspam it (& lj-cut it, natch) but then I got distracted by shiny shiny show about Hell's Angels.

p.s. On a scale of one to ten, how interested would you be in going to see Romeo & Juliet on the stage in Stratford-upon-Avon if a) I will be accompanying you and b) Sam Troughton (of Robin Hood fame! and I use the term "fame" loosely!) is playing Romeo?

I have seen a couple of great places but the bottom line is that I can save an extra £200 p/m if I live with my rents. Unfortunately this currently trumps convenience/enduring train hell. :(((

I've seen up to the episode where Nikki and Bill go to Washington. I love Nikki, of course, and Sarah, but the things I love about the show (the women's relationships; the craziness of the mothers-in-law) haven't been so prevalent this season. No doubt I'll catch up eventually but right now I'm too tired to do anything like commit my attention to Bill arsehole Henrickson.

re: post script: !!!! I saw those dates when I was trying to bag tickets to Twelfth Night. I am massively interested (so: TEN) but in real terms the reason I haven't bought tickets yet is because there's no way I can go to any production before July. But if that's kosher with you, I am ready to entertain that prospect in the biggest way.

I should remember to bookmark the fic I've read and enjoyed.

This is where I should really be singing the praises of Delicious, but, frankly, I think I was the last person on Earth to start using that service, so there likely isn't much point. But still! Bookmarking fic in a searchable, organized way! I'm easily pleased.
