It's my day off! I'm going to watch Criminal Minds and then read this hefty tome. Excellent times!

I did have to email into work this morning, though, because I forgot to forward my phone. Fuck yes, I am conscientious.

I am wearing one of my new Threadless hoodies. I haven't owned a hoodie in years and now I have three. It is huge and so comfortable, my gosh. Witness! My favourite thing about it is that it's 100% cotton and also enormous. AWESOME.

This weekend I need to buy shoes because I can't wear my (dead) ones to Newcastle on Monday. I saw a tunic/dress in M&S yesterday and promptly fell in love. I am a huge fan of Autograph anyway but sometimes they make non-dowdy things that I can actually wear. It's pretty evening wear that actually covers my front, back AND my arms which is an extreme rarity. Plus: sequins! Fuck yeah. (No link because the M&S picture does it NO justice. What an ugly ad campaign, ugh.)

Also, UKers! Have you discovered ShopStyle UK yet? Because it is a truly wondrous place. You can browse all the stores in one place and then click what you like to go direct to the appropriate website. Plus, the scroll-over gives you info like other colours and sizes available, and sometimes what materials the clothes are made from. For someone like me, this is a freaking godsend. I also happened to fall in love with some winterwear that I will NEVER BE ABLE TO PURCHASE because most of it is polycotton/polyester blend and hates my skin. Epic sadface, guys.

Went out with [livejournal.com profile] xanitia last night and had an ab fab time. She reminded me of a conversation we had when we were 14:

@xanitia I have a cyclops.
@delga That's Greek.
@xanitia Mine's orange.
@delga ...Greek is not a colour!

For the life of me I can't remember what we were talking about, but it doesn't sound like we were on the same page back then anyway.

But, yes, I need to buy some shoes, preferably some durable boots that I can also wear to work. The ones I bought from Clarks last year were great but as with every pair of boots I have ever owned, the heels died an early death. Something about the way that I walk? Anyway. I need new ones. And possibly something to wear out on Monday night. And then a hangover cure for Wednesday. True story.

So, I've been watching Glee, by which I mean, I watch and then skip anything that I find even remotely annoying. Which is a lot. I like the music, production and all, and I was hugely amused by the Rachel/Puck stuff this week (um, I am apparently all up in that now?) and I love me some Jane Lynch. But, ugh, so much of the plot is ~troublesome~ to me. I hate the whole of Schuh's story that doesn't involve the kids or Sue Sylvester. I hate most of the primary cast when they're not singing. And I listen to most of the soundtrack whilst I'm at work. So. There's that.

So, this thing happened on BBC Question Time last night and I didn't watch (I never do) and I also haven't chased commentary on it. But I feel like I fell on the other side of the debate to most people. So that was awkward.

Things that are GREAT: Spooks is back next week! Yuletide is upcoming! I have a lot of leave scheduled! I am probably going to buy shoes this weekend! AWESOME TIMES, GUYS.

Oh, that book. I am envious ;) (I saw it in Dymocks just the other day and decided to add it to my list of requested books for my birthday) But yay, nice evening dresses.

:D Awesome times.

THAT BOOK LOOKS AMAZING. fffffffffff.

Also! I have the same issue with boots. I spent five minutes at the beginning of a shift a few days ago, sitting with a tape dispenser at the customer enquiries desk, trying to tape the heels back on because they were falling off. AFTER A MONTH, WHAT.

SPOOKS. Stupid boyfriend will be in the UK when that premieres. STUPID JEALOUS. HOW EXCITING IS IT. I know you're staying unspoiled, props to you. I feel that this season will break me with the sheer amount of brilliance. UGH.

I hope your shoe-shopping expedition falls on the positive side of my usual love/hate relationship with shoe-shopping. And I am so excited you're Yuletiding again! I have a list of approximately 900 fandoms which I have to whittle down...

It is so heavy! I made eventually use it as a doorstop.

Ugh, dress shopping is today. Shoot me.

IT IS QUITE SUAVE.

I know, it is LUDICROUS. All my heels just collapse inwards wtf.

I like to stay clean, so to speak. Omg, less than 2 weeks. !!!!

Yeah, me too. That's later today so, uh, hurrah? Ngggh.

LOL. I figured Yuletide is probably the one time of the year I'll actually write something. So. Yeah. I handed my noms in pretty early, but I'm glad I have more to choose from.
