delga: ([Random] ...the TORNADO!)

And I thought about what these American kids just said to me, and I started deconstructing it. And I thought, can I really be offended over what they just said to me? Cos think about it, hmm? My family weren't in the War of Independence in 1776 - they were in India, making money. Yeah. My family weren't in WWII - they were in Kenya with the British, making even more money. Then finally I realised why it was I got so upset. [...] I was upset because these American kids were taking the piss out of my white people. It's alright, bruv, I got your back.

delga: ([spooks] let it be something wonderful.)

I knew I'd bloody forget. SIGH. I should just do the whole meme in one go.

Day Three: Favourite Guest Star

Hands down, Lindsay Duncan, as conspiracy madwoman Angela Wells (4x10). There really needs to be more fanfic material covering this lady, for absolute serious. I also really liked Maria Korachevsky who met with Lucas in 7x07, and - of course - Ashok from 8x07. Ashok was especially wonderful.

Day Four: Favourite Female Character

Rosalind Myers, of course. I remember when Fiona Carter first appeared, and I was so pleased because I loved Tessa and I loved Zoe, and they were both gone/going, and Fiona held so much promise. And then, I don't know, that all fizzled out, and we got Ros in season 5, and she was everything I had been hoping for in Fiona. Tessa is my second favourite; all the bitterness wrapped up in one body. Goddamn.

Day Five: Least Favourite Female Character

This is actually surprisingly difficult. I guess Juliet, because of how that worked out. I pretty much loved all the ladies.

--

Day Six: Best Exit

Danny, at the end of season 3, because he was so noble, and brave, and he knew exactly what he was doing and what it would cost him, and he did it anyway. Absolutely perfect. Here's this guy who was always sort of third-wheel, whose lost and learned so much, and he went out a hero. I loved Danny.

Day Seven: Worst Exit

Zafar, who was given no chances at all. Close second are Sam and Colin, and their respective send-offs - Sam's being the least dignified ever. But, yes, Zafar. Fuck.

all 30 days. )

delga: ([bad cop] THERE ARE MANY COPIES.)

I fucked up the use of the subjunctive in a team-wide email on Friday, and I am still pissed off about it. No-one will have noticed, but I know that I got it wrong, and it's irritated me since I hit send. And this, ladies, is why my life is difficult: because I tend not to make things easy for myself.

But seriously: the fucking subjunctive. Fuck.

I need to stop off at the suboffice first thing tomorrow to pick up the paperwork I dumped there on Friday afternoon, and then it's another week of whatevering and trying to get things done. work etc. )

Merlin was delightful! Richard Wilson's face is brilliant, and whilst the humour was exactly what you'd expect, it was also much, much better than the troll episodes from last season. Everything was brilliant. Oh show.
