I kicked ass in my seminars today. I'm just saying. Also, I now don't have to read Three Guineas because my Mod. tutor was dismayed by the lack of response to Nightwood. (Only three of us had read the text.) I mean, I always contribute to the classes I go to but I got to reference Sophocles' Electra and I got some awesome feedback. No close analysis yet which I'm still waiting for, and I still had a fit just before I had to leave for my classes, but I'm feeling better about the whole thing now. It's not that I don't like the texts I'm reading, I just don't like how we're approaching them. And no matter how well class went today, I have no idea how any of that will translate to my essay. But whatever, I only have to read Ulysses tonight.

Um. About 5-8 of you are going to know what the above refers to. Oh well.

The Flatmate wants to see the new Bond flick so T and I are going with her to see it. It willbe the first Bond movie I've seen start to finish, and I'm not Craig's biggest fan, even though he was awesome in Sylvia. Also, rent went out today and The Dad has financed me, so I can buy real food now. (Ah, reminder: iron. Bugger.)

Anyway, off to read Ulysses now, will start Nervous Conditions tomorrow, and I'm two chapters from finishing The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born. Also, I totally just got the details for Tsitsi Dangaremgba's visit - there's a whole day of seminars and talks. I am psyched for this event. It's going to be fabulous, I know it.
